Theory Into Action Across the Generations:
Miami University Women's Studies Bicentennial Symposium


Miami University Bicentennial logo The Women's Studies Program will be celebrating Miami's Bicentennial with a symposium on "Theory into Action across the Generations," November 20-21, 2009 in 212 MacMillan Hall, Oxford Campus. All current and former students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend the symposium, which will feature a series of roundtable discussions on past and future efforts to transform knowledge into engaged civic, social, cultural, and/or political action.

The symposium is free, but we ask you to register (below) so that we can order meals and arrange accommodations if needed. Friday dinner and Saturday breakfast and lunch are provided. We are able to help alumnae/i travelling from out of town with travel and lodging expenses.

The symposium is generously sponsored by the Burckhardt Capstone in Women's Studies fund, the Women's Studies Program, and the Humanities Center.
