National Fellowships Symposium:
Each fall semester, high-ability sophomores and juniors are invited to learn about prestigious fellowship and scholarship opportunities. For more information, contact Jeff Ruder at ruderj@muohio.edu.

One-Credit Preparation Course:
Each semester, the University Honors Program offers HON 350, a one-credit course on preparing for life after Miami. This course is open to students in the University Honors Program. A few seats are reserved each semester for non-honors students interested in pursuing prestigious fellowships and scholarships. For more information, contact Jeff Ruder at ruderj@muohio.edu.

Study Abroad:
International study and research experience is an excellent way to develop intellectually, personally and professionally and to prepare you for a successful scholarship application. Miami offers a wide variety of options:

Office of International Education provides consultations, lists of recommended study abroad programs, funding, health and safety information, and resources for program selection.
MUDEC is the Miami campus in Luxembourg.
Office of Lifelong Learning offers numerous international summer workshops each year.

Undergraduate Research:
Miami offers a wide range of research opportunities and forms of support, including:

Undergraduate Summer Scholars Program offers sophomores and juniors the opportunity to engage in summer research with a faculty mentor.
Undergraduate Research Award Program provides grants for scholarly work.
Undergraduate Research Forum enables undergraduates to present their research orally or in poster form each April.

Public and Community Service:
Assuming leadership within your local, national or international community is a superb means for personal and professional growth. Campus resources include:

Volunteer Fair occurs each fall semester.
