My most significant learning experience in college ...
The most significant learning experience I have had while in college was my first-year honors English class. My professor, Bethany Pierce, was absolutely amazing because she was always an encouraging figure and I knew she genuinely wanted to help me. At first, when I went to office hours we brainstormed ideas for papers, but eventually she became a role model, someone there to listen and offer advice. With her help I was able to take my writing abilities to the next level. She challenged me to experiment with words and break new boundaries. I thoroughly enjoyed her class and she sparked a new light on my writing interest .

My Advice for a High School Senior:
" The best advice can give to high school seniors preparing for college is to follow your heart. I know it sounds cliché, but it is important to choose a school that will make YOU happy. Each school has its own special attributes, and sometimes too much focus is placed on one aspect. Just remember to look at the big picture, and pick a place that at the end of the day you can call home.” |
