What surrprised me most
about college...
I was most surprised by how much professors and others treat you
like an adult. If you have to use the restroom you just leave. If
you miss a class no one mentions it. No assigned seats. Everyone
one assumes that you can make wise decisions and if you don't it's
not the end of the world. Negative consequences will arise, and
it is believed that those consequences, not direct punishment, should
drive you to do the right thing. This independence in decision making
is what surprised me most about college life.
Extra-curriculars: I am involved in
Pre-Vet club, Miami Students for Israel, Quilts for Kids, The National Society for Leadership and Success (Sigma Alpha Pi).

My Advice for
a High School Senior:
"Start early. I put off some of my applications way too
long and ended up not being accepted by those schools. Also,
if you are going to retake your SAT or ACT, try to do it early
in the fall. By not procrastinating in general, you will find
your senior year will be less stressful and more enjoyable." |
