What suprised me most when
I arrived at Miami...
Without a doubt, the most surprising aspect of college life was
the diversity of the student body. I was astounded that there were
so many different types of people here. Before actually arriving
on campus, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to make friends
easily or that my college experience would strongly resemble high
school. However, I quickly discovered that at Miami, everyone is
in the same situation- most people want to have a college experience
that will positively impact their lives and enable them to grow.
The diversity of the student body has already contributed greatly
to my character. Through four years of high school, I cannot say
that I had even come close to having such an eclectic, interesting,
and supportive selection of friends as I have here that have made
my Miami experience one that I'm sure will be unforgettable.
Extra-curriculars: AMSA, Delta Delta Delta, Miami University Marching Band

My Advice for
a High School Senior:
"Prepare to keep an open mind- to try new things, meet
new people, experience things you previously didn't know existed.
Embrace the process of changing and growing because college
changes many aspects of one's life from physical appearance
to personalities and relationships." |
