My most significant learning experience in college ...
My most significant learning experience in college has been my zoology research. It has taught me so much about biology, along with proper technique in a research lab. Also, I know a great deal about the "ins and outs" of research science and journal publications thanks to my work. Finally, the most important thing I have gotten out of my research is the need for patience in science. So much time and energy must be devoted to the work for it to be successful.

Extra-curriculars:

Honors & Scholars Advisory Board, zoology research, Catholic student groups at St. Mary's

My Advice for a High School Senior:

"First, I would encourage them not to stress out about the transition to college, since it comes naturally eventually. Second, I'd tell them to always study something they enjoy and stress the importance of getting involved in college. Finally, they should be told to not fear trying new and different things. So much of what is learned in college is from outside the classroom.
