2. Honors classes take learning to another level, with the small size and in-depth discussions. They teach you more than the typical academic setting ever could.
3. Being in an environment where people value their studies as much as you do if a huge help, especially with all the new distractions that are a part of the college life.
Extra-curriculars:
I have played softball for 13 years, and I played Club here at Miami until this season. I love to water ski or do anything involving the water. I am pre-med so I am involved in several medical related organizations as well. I volunteer at a free clinic when I am in my hometown. I tutor chemistry.

My Advice for a High School Senior:
" Start the visiting process as early as possible. Keep an open mind, and try to leave preconceived notions, both good and bad, at the door during visits. Spend the night with a friend who goes to that university if you can in order to get a real feel for it.”
