- Priority Class Registration: After their first semester at college, Honors students have the opportunity to register before other students on campus.
- Summer Tuition Credit: Honors students who meet certain requirements are eligible to receive a tuition credit for up to 8 hours of summer study, for use either on campus or in any Miami-sponsored study abroad program.
- Honors Courses: Each year the Honors Program offers over 90 small learning-enhanced seminars that foster close contact with faculty and peers; interactive discussions and activities; and stimulating class assignments that intellectually challenge students.
- Research Funding: The Honors Program supports undergraduate research in the following ways:
- Honors students may apply for funds to help pay for expenses related to research projects or travel expenses related to presenting their research.
- Each year, two upper-class Honors students are awarded a Research Scholar Room, which partially funds their housing for the academic year in a single room in a residence hall, and the use of a laptop computer.
- Transcript Notation: Students completing the University Honors Program will have "University Honors" or "University Honors with Distinction" as a permanent notation on their college transcript.
- Housing: We offer upper-class students the opportunity to live in one of two upper-class
Honors & Scholars residence halls which are currently Wells and Bishop Hall. Both halls are centrally located on Miami's campus close to King Library, academic buildings, and uptown Oxford.
