Admission

To be considered for admissionto the University Honors Program, students must submit an Honors Application in addition to the regular university admission application that is submitted to Office of Admissions. Each year, a select group of high school students who are accepted to the Honors Program are awarded the Harrison Scholarship. To be considered for the Harrison Scholarship, students must complete both the Honors Application and the Miami University Application for Admission by November 3.
Deadlines:
  • HONORS I / HARRISON SCHOLARSHIP- NOV. 3:
Students who apply by Nov. 3 will be considered for the University Honors Program and the Harrison Scholarship.
    • All students who apply by Nov. 3 will be mailed a decision letter on Dec. 22 notifying them of whether they have been admitted to the Honors Program and whether they have been awarded the Harrison Scholarship.
    • Because students must gain regular admission to Miami University to be considered for admission to University Honors, both the Miami University application for admission and the Honors Application must be complete by Nov. 3. However, students DO NOT have to apply to Miami via Early Decision, which is binding. If you do not want to be considered for binding Early Decision, mark "Early Action " on your Miami application for admission, but be sure to have all of the application materials complete by the Nov. 3 deadline.
  • HONORS II & IIII- DEC. 1 and FEB. 1:
Students who apply by either Dec. 1 or Feb. 1 will ONLY be considered for the University Honors Program. You must submit the Honors Application by Nov. 3 in order to be considered for the Harrison Scholarship.
    • All students who apply by Dec.1 will be mailed a decision letter on Feb. 22, and all students who apply by Feb. 1 will be mailed a decision letter on March 22 notifying them of whether they have been admitted to the Honors Program.
