Checklist for Fall 2009 Admission

Only complete applications will be reviewed; please be sure that all of your materials are sent to us promtply. Requirements for Graduate Admissions can be found at http://www.miami.muohio.edu/graduate. For your application packet to be considered complete, you will need to submit the following items to the Graduate School:

  • Graduate Application with $35 application fee payable by check or money order (drawn on a U.S. Bank).
  • Official transcripts
  • Official TOEFL scores (foreign students only)

These items can be sent to the Graduate School, Miami Unviersity, 102 Roudebush Hall, Oxford, Ohio 45056. All materials need to be received by February 1 in order to qualify for first round funding offers.

The following items need to be sent to: Cathy Edwards, Department of Geology, Miami University, 114 Shideler Hall, Oxford, Ohio 45056. You may also send these documents via fax (513-529-1542) or via e-mail to edwardca@muohio.edu.

  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Official GRE scores
  • Statement of Purpose (include information about your research interests and post-degree plans)
  • Resume (1-2 page resume including relevant academic and work experience; if applicable, include prior research and teaching experience, publications and presentations, and any grants or awards)
