Dr. Nalini Nadkarni studies the ecology of the forest canopy of tropical and temperate rainforests in Costa Rica and Washington State. She holds a faculty position in Environmental Studies at The Evergreen State College, in Olympia, Washington. Her recent efforts have included outreach to non-traditional audiences in churches, prisons, and logging communities. Her work is supported by the National Science Foundation, the National Geographic Society, and the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation.
