Jack
Gladstone was born in Seattle, Washington,
to a Montana Blackfeet father and a German
American mother and was immersed in the
rich oral tradition of the American West.
He graduated from the University of Washington
with a major in communication. His great,
great grandfather Red Crow, a legendary
chief of the Blood Tribe, was a great warrior
and orator.
Jack
preserves their history and culture through
the interweaving of traditional storytelling,
historical narrative, and song. He founded
a lecture series focusing on Blackfeet history
and culture in Glacier National Park that
was presented an award for “excellence
in the interpretation of American Indian
culture” by the Council for American
